Research on Climate Extreme Events in Press

We are happy to report, that our ongoning research cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for BioGeoChemistry as a core element of the ELLIS Unit Jena is featured in German press.

The following articles focus on our collaborative efforts with respect to predicting effects of climate change using machine learning models. More specifically, we are interested in predicting extreme events caused by climate change. As written in the articles, we can apply similar models also in other fields like medicine, for instance.

Related projects and publications can be found on our page for the research area Event Detection and Causal Reasoning, as well as our research topics Understanding Deep Learning and Novelty Detection.
